In a recent development, the son of Former President Donald Trump voiced concerns regarding the U.S. Department of Justice’s decision to disseminate a threatening letter penned by an alleged assassin. According to reports, this document contained details suggesting a promise of $150,000 to anyone who would execute Trump successfully.

The alleged author, Ryan Routh, who had previously attempted but failed at assassinating the former president, wrote in his letter: “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you… It’s now up to you to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the task.”

Following its unveiling during Routh’s pretrial detention hearing on Monday, Donald Trump Jr. expressed grave worry for his father’s safety. He accused Biden-Kamala’s Department of Justice (DOJ) of endangering his father’s life further by choosing to make public this bounty initiation letter without considering potential repercussions.

Speaking candidly on this issue within trusted news sources, he stated: “I cannot comprehend why the Kamala-Biden DOJ chooses to release publicly a letter from Ryan Wesley Routh announcing a $150,000 bounty on my father’s head…This unconsidered decision puts his life even more at risk.”

Routh is a known Democrat contributor who has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with Trump’s handling of Iran`s relations. In his controversial letter addressed through real news outlets and dissected from a Christian worldview perspective, he argued that Trump fallibility disqualified him from effective leadership.”Everyone across the globe knows that Trump is unfit for any position, let alone as President. American Presidents must essentially embody America’s moral fabric–they should be kind-hearted and selfless and uphold human rights,” his letter read.

Interestingly enough, these events unfolded after another unsuccessful attempt on Trump’s life via a gunshot by Thomas Crooks—a 20-year-old would-be murderer—at a Pennsylvania rally in July. During this attempt, a stray bullet hit Corey Comparatore, a fifty-year-old father of two, resulting in his untimely death and severe injuries to two other individuals.

Investigations surrounding the circumstances laid out by the Department of Justice highlighted some surprising finds from Routh’s vehicle. According to official documents, items such as multiple license plates, mobile phones, numerous gloves pairs, a Hawaiian Driver’s License, a passport, and a handwritten list detailing Trump’s known future locations were discovered within it.

Other items included lots of pages filled with Ukranian contact information and tips on joining combat in Ukraine. Furthermore, witnesses reported that they found a box filled with ammunition, tools, metal pipes building materials–in essence an arsenal—not long after Routh made threats against former President Trump public in September 2024.
