A harrowing episode unfolded in Washington, D.C. last Wednesday when an FBI agent was reportedly carjacked, fueling concerns about the growing crime rate in the nation’s capital experienced even by federal officials and their families. This event marks another high-profile incident in a year marked by rampant criminal activity impacting real-life people.

According to law enforcement sources, the special agent who fell victim to this shocking episode was behind the wheel of a blue Chevy Malibu. The car, equipped with the agent’s body armor and radio, fell into criminal hands as it was forcibly taken at gunpoint near Constitution Avenue NE.

Post-event, the FBI shared a statement validating its agent had indeed fallen prey to a carjacking on that ominous afternoon of November 29th. Fortunately, the stolen vehicle was later recovered.
