Amid the backdrop of an escalating public relations dilemma, President Joe Biden has declared his intention to remain in the presidential race as the Democratic nominee. A proclamation made via a letter addressed to House and Senate Democrats on Monday succeeded heightened calls for him to step down following what was perceived as a flawed performance against former President Donald Trump during a recent debate. The engagement with Trump last month was catalytic, triggering mass questioning of Biden’s candidacy.

Biden’s presentation during this crucial debate, hosted by CNN, fanned existing flames born from increasing concerns over his mental fitness. Despite these hurdles, Biden remained steadfast on defeating “Trump and MAGA Republicans.” He highlighted how detractors have been perceived to align with corporations detrimentally affecting America’s middle class and vowed to execute “real Supreme Court reform” if re-elected. These sentiments by Biden have fueled speculations proposing that he would potentially aim at expanding Supreme Court justices thereby securing a liberal majority if Democrats emerge triumphant in both the presidency and Senate majority.
