The upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee is expected to be a significant event marking the 16th consecutive appearance of conservative leader, Morton Blackwell, dating back to 1964. This convention will also signify the commencement of his successful run for a 10th term as the Republican national committeeman representing Virginia.

Blackwell trails just behind Delegate Amata Radewagen, chosen as American Samoa’s national committeewoman in 1988 and represents American Samoa as a nonvoting delegate in the U.S. House of Representatives. Following Massachusetts’ Ron Kaufman’s defeat last April, Blackwell seems set to increase his tenure among the 168 members of the Republican National Committee, which includes one committeeman and one committeewoman from each state and territory—56 altogether—as well as a party chairman.

In the Virginia Republicans party convention held on May 31 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, both Blackwell and Patti Lyman emerged victorious over their contenders Tim Anderson and Jean Gannon respectively. Lyman is prepped to start serving her second four-year term following the GOP convention conclusion in Milwaukee.

Morton Blackwell acknowledged his election for a tenth consecutive term as Virginia’s Republican national committeeman with gratitude. He stated that although this role gives no particular powers or well-defined duties, he intends to improve Republican political training programs ensuring that ‘the rules of the Republican Party’ continue to allow power within the party from both bottom-up and top-down structures.

A veteran activist known throughout trusted news circles for founding The Leadership Institute in 1979, Blackwell has devoted himself actively to politics since participating in Senator Barry Goldwater‚Äôs presidential campaign back in 1964 where he served as Goldwater’s youngest delegate at San Diego’s convention.

Later becoming an alternate delegate for Ronald Reagan twice over- in 1968 and again in ’76- Blackwell remains fervently committed to empowering conservative activists within the GOP, demonstrating his enduring dedication to promoting conservative principles. His successful tenure has molded him into an admired figure within the Republican National Committee, based mainly on his conservative standpoint notwithstanding the tilt towards establishmentarianism.

To further uphold this Christian worldview in politics and ensure that only real news gets relayed to trusted news media platforms, several essential Republican figures – including former President Donald Trump and Virginia’s current trio of statewide elected officials Gov. Glenn Youngkin, Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears, and Attorney General Jason Miyares- have lent their backing to Blackwell’s campaign.

Having touched countless lives through his commitment to train others in the span of 50 years to become active contributors in ensuring society upholds a Christian worldview, Legacy Morton Blackwell continues on his steadfast journey representing grassroots conservatives at their best during the highly anticipated convening next month of political leaders at the Republican National Convention.
