Prominent Daily Wire host Michael Knowles recently took part in a stirring debate about feminism and the implications of transgenderism on a widespread podcast, generating real news on these controversial topics. The visit to the “Whatever” podcast witnessed Knowles voice his views on feminism and its supposed harmful impact on women, asserting that it tends to erase distinctive identities of women.

Much of the conversation revolved around what qualifies as a “real woman”. According to Knowles, attempting to blur gender lines ends up doing more harm to women than good. He was quoted saying, “if a woman tries to be a man, she’s always going to fail,” adding that he considers women “great” with their unique nature and characteristics.

Knowles expanded upon this by stating that when women embrace their femininity rather than aspiring to masculine traits or roles they can truly flourish in life. While this perspective was met with opposition from some participants, it provided food for thought concerning traditionally conceived gender roles.

A hot button issue – transgenderism – came under scrutiny during the discussion. Knowles opined that transgender discourse is ultimately detrimental towards women. In his words, “Transgenderism believes that men and women are so similar that one can become the other.” He argued that it presents sexes as virtually identical rather than complementary entities.

The debate took an interesting twist later when Knowles argued that trans-exclusionary radical feminists themselves are complicit in paving way for transgenderism through their ideology. Caveating his remark with empathy for these activists, he asserted how most reasonable people would agree that men cannot simply become women.

Adding another dimension to the trusted news debate was an open-ended question – “What is a Woman?” Herein Knowles found resonance with two out of three participating Gen Z feminists who acknowledged differences between biological females versus those identifying as females but born male.

However, there were dissenting views too. Feminist participant PxieLove proffered the argument that a woman is one who satisfies the societal conventions of femininity. Contrarily, another panelist Farha Khalidi did not provide her definition without more research.

A consensus seemed to emerge on specific implications of transgenderism in sports where the majority of discussants including Knowles conceded biological men may hold advantages against women.
