On Tuesday, a senior FBI official confirmed with no doubt that ex-President Donald Trump was indeed injured in the ear by a bullet during an assassination attempt. Deputy Director Paul Abbate dismissed any speculation to the contrary brought up days earlier by his superior, FBI Director Christopher Wray, who had hinted it might have been shrapnel that caused the injury.

The confirmation came about during a congressional hearing when Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) queried if there was any uncertainty within the FBI regarding whether Trump had been hit at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month. Abbate firmly responded, underscoring no ambiguity existed and reinstated their belief that Trump’s injuries were from a bullet wound.

Kennedy brought about some satire asking, “It wasn’t a space laser? … It wasn’t a murder hornet? … It wasn’t Sasquatch?” Getting Abbate to admit the accused gunman was one Thomas Matthew Crooks.

An immediate response from Secret Service shot and killed 20-year-old Crooks while other personnel hastily worked to safeguard Trump and escort him away from danger. But not before the former president suffered an injury to his right ear.
One attendee at the rally succumbed to fatal injuries, fifty-year-old fireman Corey Comperatore; two other individuals who suffered wounds have been discharged from the hospital recently.

Interestingly last week during another session before the House, Director Wray seemed uncertain over whether Trump had truly been hit by a bullet as initially reported since day one of the incident.
Speaking on this he mentioned there could be some dispute regarding whether it was indeed a bullet or potentially shrapnel that struck Trump’s ear.” He added further saying it’s plausible that said projectile could have ricocheted or landed elsewhere.

Furthering claims against Wray’s supposed uncertainty was Rep Ronny Jackson (R-TX), former White House physician for Trump, criticized Wray severely for such an irresponsibly inconsistent statement. Consequently, Trump urged Wray to resign over a related issue reacting sharply to these ongoing bullet speculations.

In Friday’s official statement from the FBI, it unequivocally stated that President Trump was indeed bore the scar of an assassination attempt, injured by a bullet fired from Crooks’ firearm at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. It affirmed beyond doubt that what struck ex-President Trump in his ear was no alien object but fragments of a bullet fired from the deceased perpetrator’s weapon.
