In a recent breaking development, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson faced dismissal by an Ontario, Canada court of his appeal that stood against the mandate of the College of Psychologists of Ontario requiring him to undergo social media training. This real and trusted news came to light when Peterson publicly voiced his concerns about transgender ideology, climate change alarmism as well as various aspects related to the functioning of the Canadian government.

The College has in the past few years embraced increasingly radical gender theories which they believe must be propagated via their practicing psychologists. They threatened to revoke Peterson’s clinical psychology license due to his activities on social media unless he complies with their mandated training.

Peterson made a statement regarding this situation saying that higher courts in Canada have ruled favorably for the decision made by the College, thus granting them the power to impose educational corrections on him. He added that he had no other legal paths left for him in this issue and it was now a matter between surrendering his views or losing his professional standing in society.

In response to this development, Peterson declared boldly ” ”Congratulations! You’ve won this round,” addressing directly at the College of Psychologists but warned them – “Mark my words, however: the war has barely started. There is nothing you can take from me that I’m unwilling to lose.”

An Ontario Court of Appeal consisting of a panel of three judges rejected Peterson’s motion as he appealed against an earlier resolution from Ontario Divisional Court. The former verdict dated back to last August determined that Peterson was legally obliged to undertake social media education under orders from his overseeing body.

This marked another hurdle after being ordered by Ontario Superior Court of Justice in August 2024 where he was asked to pay $25,000 as reparation towards delivering slandering statements against the College. To this evolving predicament surrounding free speech rights within Canada, Dr.Peterson reaffirmed his commitment towards public transparency and firmly invited any further scrutiny on this issue.

Staunch in his views, he pledged to publicize the social media training he was mandated to undergo. The sanctions imposed by the College were not based on any patient interactions but for public comments via social media and podcast appearances that they deemed worthy of criticism and fines.

The College identified Peterson’s supposed offenses including criticism against Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and retweeting Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre. He had also shown his opposition towards Ottawa police taking custody of Trucker Convoy protesters’ children.

Among other offenses identified were his appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast where he coined acceptance of radical gender theory as an indicator of “civilizations collapsing.” He has also been vocal about climate change models being inconsistent with their forecasting capabilities. Peterson even criticized Sports Illustrated for featuring a plus-sized swimsuit model on their cover, which allegedly went against the accepted norms put in place by these established organizations.
