The Democratic party ties its fate to the proverbial tiger, a symbol of power, which if not handled carefully, could undermine efforts especially in the upcoming November’s presidential election. This clampdown on power emerges from their protracted lawfare campaign against Trump. They have elevated the stakes far beyond an ordinary presidential election due to them allegedly misusing government offices for political agenda—therefore potentially landing under investigation if they lose.

It’s clear how concerned Democrats are about losing this election given the extraordinary steps they’ve taken to secure victory. Since last year, they initiated four legal cases against Trump in different states. When this failed to diminish his popularity – in fact, support for him grew – they turned against their own candidate and ousted their democratically elected nominee out of the contest against his will.

By July 21, according to national polling averages provided by Real Clear Politics, when Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the race he trailed behind Trump by 39.2 percent compared to Trump’s 43.49 percent in a five-way competition. Additionally, Biden lagged in critical battleground states with 42.3 percent while Trump scored a reputable 46.7 percent.

Despite trailing overall – though within certain battleground polls margin of error – Biden’s polling percentage was far from unprecedented: prior presidents such as Trump and Clinton won elections with 46 percent and 43 percent of the total vote championed respectively indicating no discernible reason why Democrats would subvert their electoral process or depose their candidate less than four months before going into an election campaign hinged on battling for voter confidence.

Controversially using governmental powers otherwise designed specifically for non-partisan purposes is what Democrats primarily fear exposure of should they lose control over these levers of influence during electoral proceedings embroiled largely by anti-Trump rhetoric.

The Democratic Party knows that maintaining White House incumbency provides advantages by warding off serious examination into what questionable activities had occurred under their administration. Adding to this fear of exposure and accountability are questions about political targeting, particularly the recent revelation by Mark Zuckerberg that his platform was pressurized by the Biden administration to censor COVID-related content during the pandemic.

Crucially, Democrats have refused credible investigations against their own perceived transgressions. One example is Hunter Biden’s influence peddling and his family’s possible involvement. Equally controversial were the failure of a plea deal so biased that it prompted an exasperated judge to reject it entirely. Additionally, more troubling charges of cocaine found in the White House and speculation on what became of those involved surrounding that investigation loom ominously over any serious inquiry into Democratic Party actions.

What happens if Democrats lose control over the White House following this November’s presidential election? If they do, Republicans will gain control over important investigative tools which could potentially appoint special counsels as deemed necessary based on circumstantial evidence presented at court. They could, for instance, investigate Hunter Biden who recently pleaded guilty according to Special Counsel David Weiss – thereby showing that these instruments can be utilized effectively if needed.

Democrats gambled high stakes by riding the tiger offering power and dominance but challenging in terms of control. Overwhelmed with reaping its rewards for years now, they still feel unable to dismount due to fear of retaliation—the true reason why losing in this upcoming November election would cast them into uncharted waters involving possibly grave consequences.
