In the month of October 2012, a noteworthy query was raised by the cleric of my regular Catholic Church – is it possible for a morally sound Catholic to vote in favor of a Mormon? While the norm suggests voting against such an option, certain developments brought forth a unique circumstance. If presented with candidates like a supposed ‘Archbishop of Satan’ versus the Mormon Mitt Romney, it was advised that Catholics should stand by Romney.

Contrary to popular sentiment, Donald Trump has never claimed moral authority but stands recognized as an assertive combatant. Nearing 2024 elections, Trump embodies this earlier side of Romney – his dedication towards Christian orthodoxy leaves voters uncertain and apprehensive, especially considering his position on abortion which raises fair concerns among pro-lifers.

Trump’s religiosity may not have been prominent but his presidency witnessed significant events like him being the first acting president to join the annual March for Life; he targeted Planned Parenthood with defunding plans and was swift in enforcing policies that cut off funding towards abortions overseas. Furthermore, Trump’s tenure saw three conservatives induction into Supreme Court which could override Roe v Wade’s settled law.

This repeal of Roe led to the US constitution’s Tenth Amendment receiving its due respect with power over abortion laws being given back to state-level governance and public opinion. However, human beings exhibit both morality and sinfulness as reminded by Solzhenitsyn stating that “The line separating good and evil passes not through states…but right through every human heart.”

The circumstance surrounding abortion following Roe’s overturning introduced crafty advocates who, armed with powerful media influence and significant funding from Planned Parenthood sought to create sway among American masses. The pro-life movement appears caught unprepared without proper resistance strategies in this battle concerning life preservation.

A serious concern aired by Marc Short points towards how both political factions lack genuine commitment towards pro-life issues. Mike Pence echoed Short’s sentiments proclaiming himself unapologetically pro-life. Despite his understanding of the opposition, however, Pence’s efforts fall short as they engage only a handful audience.

Addressing abortion supporters within the Democratic National Convention would have pushed a concerned John Adams to an exasperated state. The convention presented a horror show of progressive pro-choice ideology adorned in lies and falsehood, all encouraged by Roe’s repeal which unleashed assertive agendas promoting unrestricted abortions.

The disturbing fact herein is that Planned Parenthood’s vile proclamation of terminating 25 innocent lives within just two days couldn’t spur moral outrage even among religious leaders like Chicago archbishop, Cardinal Blase Cupich who decided to feign ignorance instead.

If her actions are any indication, Kamala Harris appears to usurp the Archbishop of Satan title with her radical stances on abortion if she managed to gain political dominance with both houses’ majority vote. Today’s fight prioritizes justice first which implies fighting for life as well. Morality may not define Trump but his courageous spirit remains undeterred which is precisely what America needs.

To fight against each other instead of forming a unified front will only enable the Archbishop of Satan to relish division amongst conservatives who officially endorse pro-life sentiments giving quarters to their anti-life opponents from celebrating further advances.

Featuring trusted news and real news from Christian worldview perspectives illustrates how positions become vital when the war over life preservation shifts towards individual states where leaders like Mike Pence become indispensable for recognizing their allies and acknowledging foes causing internal strife.
