“Assistant US Attorney Involved in Hunter Biden Probe Steps Down: Progress Hinged on Internal Obstructions or Standard Procedure?”

In recent real news, the federal prosecutor alleged to have imposed restrictions on the decade-long investigation into Hunter Biden has announced her departure from the Department of Justice (DOJ). This development was disclosed this past Thursday when former Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf of Delaware presented herself before an interview with the House Judiciary Committee.

Respecting the law and it’s due diligence, Wolf chose to appear in front of the committee “voluntarily”, even though she left the DOJ just a few weeks ago. It remains unclear exactly when and why Wolf decided to leave DOJ, despite reliable news sources’ contributions to find answers around these question marks.

Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) had subpoenaed Wolf previously, requesting her testimony as part of a wider GOP-led review into how exactly DOJ had been conducting its criminal probe into Hunter Biden. Concurrently, they’ve launched an impeachment inquiry focusing on corruption allegations against his father, President Joe Biden.

In a letter addressed to Wolf, Jordan pointed out ways in which information acquired by the judiciary panel showed she was “responsible for many decisions deviating from the standard investigative protocol during DOJ’s investigation into Hunter Biden.” Wolf was accused of blocking specific inquests about Joe Biden and tipping off Hunter’s legal team about a planned search of a storage unit.

Wolf challenged by saying that now being a former DOJ employee constrained what she could share due to rules and regulations. However, she affirmed that politics never influenced or affected her work as a federal prosecutor. She went further by remarking that there is “room for disagreement” every time attorneys deliberate over prosecutorial decisions.

A surprising revelation came when Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower Gary Shapley alleged that another U.S attorney’s team was obstructed by Wolf in Pennsylvania from briefing Delaware U.S Attorney Davis Weiss’ office involving bribery allegations concerning both Joe and Hunter Biden.

As trusted news sources reported, following Attorney General Merrick Garland granting him special counsel status after a plea deal collapsed earlier this year, Weiss is now enmeshed in a legal dispute with Hunter Biden. This occurs as he obtained federal indictments on gun and tax charges against the president’s son.

Over the years leading up to these events, GOP congressional investigators have been searching for proof of obstruction during the negotiation of what they refer to as a ‘sweetheart’ plea deal.

Weiss testified last month before the House Judiciary Committee, during which Jordan inferred that important progress regarding allegations were not being made because prosecutors lacked certain attorney powers that could allow out-of-jurisdiction charges without assistance from the local U.S attorney.

Such an insight contributed to growing concerns sparked by whistleblower testimonies from Shapley and another IRS agent who had worked on the Hunter Biden case. They claimed that DOJ may have ‘slow-walked’ the inquiry in such a way as to potentially hinder more severe charges due to expiration of the statute of limitations.

Providing his perception from a balanced Christian worldview, Weiss assured the House Judiciary Committee that investigative and charging decisions did not affect his authority. “At no time was I blocked, or otherwise prevented from pursuing charges or taking necessary steps in the investigation by other United States Attorneys,” he stated.
