In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, students across the United States are grappling with mastering foundational reading and math skills. The principle titled “Black Villages” discusses disrupting the conventional nuclear family structure prevalent primarily in western societies.

According to Descovich’s observations, these contentious matters are utilized by schools as a smokescreen for failures in public education. For instance, she highlights abysmal proficiency levels of students when it comes to core subjects like reading and math.

She cites Milwaukee Public Schools – who participate in the Black Lives Matter in School’s Week of Action – where only 5% of black fourth-grade students were found capable of reading at grade level according to national educational progress data.

Despite the confronting figures, Descovich warns parents against complacency and urges them to scrutinize their school or school district’s approach. If they spot any celebration of Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action, she suggests they contact teachers, principals or even the school board.

To help parents respond effectively, Moms for Liberty has tools to aid parents in producing public records requests that could reveal unapparent race-based training initiatives.

In addition to taking action through their school systems, Descovich encourages parents to explore whether there is a Moms for Liberty chapter in their county or consider starting one themselves. This move resonates with her belief that certain curriculums often embed divisive racial perspectives into their content from early ages.
