Concern is growing among adherents of conservative and Christian ideologies as recent revelations suggest that the Biden administration may view them as a domestic terrorism threat. This stems from data indicating the government’s possible collaboration with the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) in formulating anti-terrorism strategies—a group widely criticized by conservatives for its perceived bias against right-wing organizations and persons of faith.

A recently discovered video provides weight to these concerns, suggesting potential alignment between federal agencies and the SPLC. Notably, this organization has historically targeted conservative groups like Alliance Defending Freedom and Moms for Liberty in its fundraising efforts, lumping them in with extremist hate groups to justify their actions. The SPLC also lists mainstream conservative and Christian groups on its infamous “hate map”—a tool used both to inhibit the activities of targeted organizations and solicit funds.

According to footage purportedly taken from a donor meeting last fall, SPLC President Margaret Huang boasted about Biden administration officials seeking their counsel to develop an approach toward domestic terrorism. She further highlighted their organizational capability to track extremist groups nationwide, although critics have long held that many entries on their “hate map” are merely ideological opponents.

Notably, this is not the first time an association between the Biden administration and SPLC has been made. The president himself has hosted Splc leaders numerous times since assuming office, even appointing an SLPC attorney to a federal judgeship—signalling a close working relationship with the organization known for marking traditional conservatism as “hate.”

The irony lies deeply ingrained when one considers that the SPLC’s efforts are contributing towards combating terrorism while suspected instances implicate them indirectly with promoting such activities themselves. For instance, a lone perpetrator attempted a mass shooting at Family Research Council headquarters in 2012 after identifying it through SPLC’s “hate map.”

In yet another twist of irony surrounding credibility challenges, former employee testimonies accuse the organization’s practices of being fraudulent. Suggesting further, the SPLC’s history of covering for Antifa by dismissing reports of riot incitement led to one of the most violent riots in 2020.

Despite these credibility lapses, organizations continue to use SPLC’s “hate map” against conservative adversaries. For instance, it includes parental rights groups opposing certain educational curricula and immigration reform institutions maintaining strict border control—groups opposing left-leaning policies in their respective domains.

Ultimately these trends only serve to heighten scepticism among conservatives and Christian constituents, making them feel alienated as potential domestic terror threats due to their beliefs and values. It remains a topic of high interest and concern in real news circles offering trusted news through a Christian worldview.

The Biden administration’s exact extent of involvement with the Southern Poverty Law Center remains largely unknown, with authorities staying silent despite direct inquiries. This lack of transparency increases suspicions around government taxation on certain ideologies—an issue sure to be a centerpiece in upcoming political discussions.
