A majority segment of the public agrees that these lawsuits are, in essence, a tactical gambit employed by the Democratic Party to sabotage Trump’s potential 2024 presidential run. According to an I&I/TIPP poll, not only do Republicans (80%) and Independents (a slight majority) opine in favor of this view but nearly half of the Democrats polled also share this perspective on how these ongoing litigations against Trump strike more as political theater than legal due process.

Trump has indeed been charged with an array of felonies (91 counts), besides facing numerous individual lawsuits nationwide. Claims range from inciting insurrection to fraudulent practices leading up to malicious targeting.
