Unlike many of her past works that stemmed from periods of hardship and aridity in her life journey, Trample embodies songs birthed from triumphs. Victory isn’t just exuded through sheer joy alone but projected with humility and discernment necessary to keep progressing.

Speaking on her latest project, Walker-Smith emphasized that the songs were essentially prayers she had vocalized through lyrics and melodies. With plans for a tour this fall in support of the album, she expressed hopes that it will uplift listeners but also provide food for thought escaping complacency while embracing challenges ahead.

Walker-Smith also shared insights on her temporary hiatus from music on the “Crossmap Podcast”– describing God’s divine inspiration guiding her return – and stressed the importance of introducing worship music to children at a young age.
