Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool, has expressed his intense dissatisfaction with what he perceives as Democrats undermining democracy. This sentiment emerged following the announcement by President Joe Biden that he would not be running for another term. The president subsequently endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, an endorsement which raised Portnoy’s ire.

They should just admit how they’ve hijacked democracy because of their hatred for Trump. Portnoy holds the firm belief that the Democrats have denied people the chance to select their choice for presidency and have instead made this decision themselves – an action that reeks of elitism and ignores the masses’ voice. This move underpins Portnoy’s perspective that democracy has suffered significantly: “Just say you hate f***ing Trump so much you’re willing to do whatever it takes to beat Trump and it doesn’t matter what rights you steal, stomp on … you’re willing to do it.”
