Raddatz brought forward questions concerning President Joe Biden’s perceived failures in immigration and border security. In response, Warren expressed her stand, “We need a pathway to citizenship for people who are here, spouses, dreamers, essential workers, military personnel, students who aim to contribute towards strengthening our country.”
The Democrat senator placed the responsibility of the escalating crisis at the southern U.S. border onto Republicans. She voiced her opinion that the crisis exploded once Biden had assumed presidency and reversed all standing policies relating to border control put forth by his predecessor, Donald Trump.
As per estimates shared during the debate between Raddatz and Warren on ABC News’, some believe that over 10 million undocumented people have now entered the U.S., incredibly more than those who entered during Trump’s entire first term which numbered around 2 million.
