The Democratic governor of Wisconsin recently vetoed a proposed bill that sought to prevent male athletes identifying as female from participating in girls’ high school sports teams. Governor Tony Evers, who had earlier indicated his disapproval of the bill, officially exercised his veto powers, rejecting the legislation that asked transgender students to partake in sports activities corresponding to their biological sex.
