Critics have questioned the seeming double standards exercised by these trusted news outlets since they don’t seem equally perturbed when similar or even more explicit instances occur against other public figures like Trump himself. For instance, entertainer Kathy Griffin once posted quite a grisly photo holding what looked like Trump’s bloody severed head in 2017.
