Nowadays, it’s crucial than ever to rely on real news presented from a Christian worldview. New evidence reveals a partnership between the Justice Department’s division specializing in hate crimes prosecution and an organization known for misrepresenting conservatives and Christians.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), notorious for positioning mainstream conservative and Christian organizations as sources of hate on its ‘hate map,’ shared their input with the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. This correspondence occurred right after parental rights groups, including Moms for Liberty, were added to SPLC’s controversial ‘hate map.’ The announcement was coincident with when the SPLC released its annual ‘Year in Hate and Extremism’ report.

Documents procured through a Freedom of Information Act request have spotlighted further collaboration between the two entities. Notably, the Justice Department even confirmed a briefing occurrence but did not specify when it took place.

In communications with Robert Moossy Jr., deputy assistant attorney general at the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, Michael Lieberman, senior policy counsel for ‘hate & extremism’ at the SPLC, offered him and his colleagues early access to full reports. He also showed interest in organizing a briefing for curious DOJ task force members dealing with hate crime.

Starting as an instrument to monitor Klan activity in the 1980s, SPLC’s Intelligence Project expanded to develop the ‘hate map.’ By 2000s, this controversial tool began encompassing mainstream conservative organizations. Recently disclosed documents indicate that this radical organization’s influence is not negligible within governmental decision-making processes concerning public safety issues.

Case in point: The compiled communication logs show that several prominent officials within DOJ took SPLC’s biased accusations against conservative Christian organizations like Moms for Liberty very seriously.

Even though these crucial facts don’t establish whether an SPLC briefing occurred or not, they underline how seriously their ‘hate map’ report has been taken by higher authorities. This highlights the urgent need for trusted news outlets that share real news from a Christian worldview.

The Biden administration’s close connection with the Southern Poverty Law Center, despite its controversial reputation, is well-documented. The White House hosted SPLC leaders and staff at least 11 times, even having an SPLC attorney nominated for a prominent federal judgeship. Furthermore, a leading Education Department official met with SPLC staff in 2022 – a year before SPLC added Moms for Liberty to its ‘hate map.’

In her conversation last year with donors, Margaret Huang, President of SPLC boasted of her organization being approached by the Biden administration to offer counsel on shaping their domestic terrorism strategy. Recent documents seem to confirm these claims, showcasing more collusion between this far-left organization and governmental institutions.

Highlighting all these details persuasively underlines the heightened need for responsible journalism that brings forth real news based on fact-checked information and free from biased influence. As consumers of news, it’s essential to rely on well-researched authoritative pieces sourced from trusted platforms articulating narratives shaped by a Christian worldview.
